Terms and Conditions for Purchase and Enrollment of Online Courses
- Enrollment Prerequisites
Before enrolling in an online course with Pan-African Shield College, the student must meet the following prerequisites:
- Private Security Officer Level 1 Course
The minimum entry requirement for the Private Security Officer (PSO) Course / Private Security Officer (PSO) Refresher Course & Assessment is as follows:
- Must be a Kenyan citizen.
- Must be 18 years of age or above.
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Must be physically and mentally fit to undertake the duties of a security officer.
- Must possess a valid police clearance certificate.
- Training of Trainers PSO Course
The minimum entry requirement for the instructor of Private Security Officer Level 1 course is as follows:
- Must be a Kenyan citizen
- Must be 18 years and above
- Able to read and write in English
- Physically and mentally fit
- Has a valid police clearance certificate
- Has 6 years proven experience in the private security industry
- Has done Private Security Officer Level 1 ToT course
- Security Management Practitioner (SMP)
The minimum entry requirement for the instructor of Private Security Officer Level 1 course is as follows:
- Read and understand instructional language (English)
- Possess basic computer skills
- An employee working in a private or public institution as a security officer, supervisor, manager or director \Application should be made through the Pan-African Shield College online enrolment portal
- Other Online Courses
The minimum entry requirement for other online courses is as follows:
- Read and understand instructional language (English)
- Possess basic computer skills
- Eligibility Assessment
Upon receipt of full payment for the course fees, Pan-African Shield College will assess the student’s eligibility based on the prerequisites outlined for the chosen course. Enrollment in the course will be confirmed upon successful assessment of eligibility.
- Course Enrollment
Enrollment in a course is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment for the course fees, unless otherwise specified in a separate agreement.
- Payment
Payment for the course fees must be made in full prior to the course start date. Payment plans may be available for certain courses, subject to approval by Pan-African Shield College.
- Cancellation and Refunds
5.1 Cancellation Policy:
– Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Pan-African Shield College.
– If a cancellation request is received before the course start date, a refund may be issued, subject to a cancellation fee as outlined in the course description or enrolment agreement.
– No refunds will be issued after the course has commenced.
5.2 Course Changes and Cancellations by Pan-African Shield College:
– Pan-African Shield College reserves the right to cancel a course or make changes to the course schedule, content, or instructors if necessary. In such cases, affected students will be offered the option to transfer to another course or receive a full refund.
- Course Materials
Course materials, including but not limited to textbooks, software, and online resources, are the responsibility of the student to obtain, unless explicitly stated otherwise in the course description.
- Code of Conduct
Students are expected to adhere to a code of conduct that promotes a respectful and inclusive learning environment. Any violation of the code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, including expulsion from the course without refund.
- Intellectual Property
All course materials, including but not limited to lectures, presentations, and written content, are the intellectual property of Pan-African Shield College and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
- Disclaimer
Pan-African Shield College reserves the right to make changes to course offerings, content, instructors, and schedules without prior notice. While every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of course information, Pan-African Shield College does not guarantee outcomes or results from participation in its courses.
By enrolling in an online course with Pan-African Shield College, the student acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions.
